24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree; so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness.
1 Peter 2:24a (CSB)
17 “The Father loves me because I sacrifice my life so I may take it back again. 18 No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily. For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again. For this is what my Father has commanded.”
John 10:17-18 (NLT)
“God put on him the wrong who never did anything wrong, so we could be put right with God”
2 Corinthians 5:21 (MSG)
Jesus chooses sacrifice
He was punished, hung on a tree. A wooden cross. Yet he was without sin. Not guilty. Jesus chooses sacrifice because He loves you. God put our sin on His Son and punished it there. He wants you to know forgiveness and friendship with God.
